Apothecary Damien
Head Apothecary of the "Iron Cross" Crusade

Apothecary Damien is the head Apothecary of the "Iron Cross" Crusade. His duty is to see to the health of the Crusade, in and out of battle, and to return the geneseed of the fallen to the sacred storage area on board the "Righteous Fury."

Damien wears Power Armor into battle, and carries with him the Apothecary's tools, the Reductor and the Narthecium. He is armed with a Bolt Pistol and a Combat Knife.

His valiant history includes the following memorable moments:
After an encounter with an Ork Warlord, it was Damien's quick ministrations that kept Brother Librarian Jerome alive. The Ork was slain by Jerome.*

* Game notes: The Narthecuim's rule of ignoring the first failed armor save for the unit the Apothecary is in kept the Librarian from taking his second wound and dying. This allowed the Librarian to continue fighting and finish off the Ork Warlord.
