Graff & Gruff
Background

Graff and Gruff Jenson are Half-Orc twins (not identical, as you will see later) born in a small village in the Gran March of Greyhawk. Their mother was a young woman named Jen (hence the last name "Jenson") who was taken in a raid on the village by Orcs. She was eventually rescued, but not before she was ravaged by the leader of the Orc band. This resulted in a pregnancy, which resulted in the birth of Graff and Gruff. Jen died in childbirth, but her last words were to bring forth a promise from the village leader that they would care for her children, no matter what. The twins were born, and if it weren't for the promise made, would probably have been destroyed.

The children grew quickly, and it wasn't long before their heritage and differences became easily noticed, at least for one of them.

The smaller of the two, and first born, was Graff. Taking after his mother's side, except for his height of slightly over 6 feet, and some almost unnoticeable features, such as a sloping forehead, a flatter nose, and a grayish tint to the skin, he appeared pretty much human. This was a joy to the villagers, and they cared well for him.

The larger of the two, the villagers named Gruff. Obviously, he took after the hated father, looking more Orc than human. Almost 7 feet tall, and extremely muscular, with full Orcish features, Gruff was a very scary sight. Still, the villagers promised to care for the two and they did, though Gruff was more or less left to himself.
